The M&A world as once known no longer exists. The recent financial crisis has affected most of the banks that had historically driven deals. Most deal-driving banks have now converted to holding companies, merged or face new constraints on their business activities. The financing structure and sources have also shrunk dramatically. Lawyers involved in mergers and acquisitions and those who design these deal structures must now devise new paradigms for the current environment.

An expert faculty of lawyers, general counsel, regulators and investment bankers will explore the changing M&A landscape. Presenters include Francis J. Aquila, Sullivan & Cromwell LLP; George W. Bilicic, vice chairman of Investing Banking and chairman of Power Utilities & Infrastructure, Lazard; Patricia Brink the deputy director of operations, Antitrust Div, U.S. Deptartment of Justice; Ben Buettell the managing director of Houlihan Lokey; Philip A. Canfield, principal, GTCR Golder Rauner, LLC and Thomas D. Cassin, managing director of J.P. Morgan Securities.
