PLI Hosts 41st Annual Securities Regulation Institute

The Practising Law Institute will host its 41st Annual Securities Regulation Institute Wednesday November 4 through Friday November 6.

The program begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. on all three days.

This years' event will be held at the New York Hilton & Towers, 1335 Avenue of the Americas, New York City.

The institute will offer participants the most up-to-date analysis and practical solutions to the issues facing companies and clients today.Learn from experts in the field about the pertinent issues facing attorneys created by the financial crisis and its aftermath.

Attendees will hear a keynote address by the chairman of the U.S. SEC, the Hon. Mary L. Schapiro (invited), and FINRA chairman and CEO, Richard G. Ketchum, along with presentations from a faculty of over 80 experts drawn from private practice, corporations, accounting firms,investment banks and other areas in the financial field. At the conclusion of each panel attendees will receive a list of practical take-away points that may be used to guide clients in these difficult financial times.

Events include a Q&A picnic lunch on day two where participants can ask questions and receive answers directly from the highest level of staff at the SEC Commission's Division of Corporation Finance, including the new director, Meredith B. Cross.

Among the other distinguished faculty will be Julie M. Allen, Proskauer Rose LLP; Brackett B. Denniston II, senior vice president and general counsel, General Electric Co.; David M. Becker, general counsel and senior policy director, U.S. SEC; and Robert Kindler, global head of Mergers & Acquisitions, vice chairman, Morgan Stanley.
