PLI Examines Corporate And Professional Liability Insurance

Join the Practising Law Institute on Monday, June 7, as they present a seminar on Corporate and Professional Liability Insurance Law 2010.

The program is co-sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and will be held at PBI's CLE Conference Center at the Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia. This program will also be simulcast live to the Cleveland Metro Bar Association at 1301 East 9th Street in Cleveland.

With the repercussions of the subprime meltdown and resulting financial crisis, professional liability and other corporate insurances and laws have been put to the test, and the case law is rapidly evolving. This seminar will offer participants the latest insights into the growing issue of insured vs. uninsured exclusions. It will provide attendees with an overview of the important insurance considerations for corporations and their directors and officers. Subjects will include D&O and E&O policies as well as other coverages of importance to corporations, coverage issues arising from the subprime meltdown, emerging claim and litigation trends, and, finally, coverage limitations and how insurers are responding to claims from subprime and other financial crisis exposures.

The speakers are Laura A. Foggan and Cara Tseng Duffield of Wiley Rein LLP; Janet B. Dreifuss, senior vice president, Alliant Insurance Services; Douglas R. Richmond, senior vice president, Aon Global Professions Practice; and Charles A. Yuen, special counsel, McCarter & English, LLP.
