PLI Conference Focus: Understanding The Securities Laws 2008

The Practicing Law Institute has planned a two-day seminar on Monday and Tuesday, December 8 and 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days. Titled Understanding the Securities Laws 2008 will be held at the PLI New York Center at 810 Seventh Avenue.

The faculty will include experienced securities lawyers and SEC staff. Among them will be: Julie M. Allen, Proskauer Rose LLP; David K. Knowledge of the securities laws is essential to avoid crippling and time-consuming litigation. The program will provide an up-to-the-minute understanding of the interplay of the basic underpinnings of the Securities Act of 1933, the Exchange Act of 1934, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and related SEC regulations. Emphasis will be both on the substance of these acts and their rules and on how a securities lawyer can solve practical problems.
