PLI And NJICLE Present ERISA And Arising Litigation

PLI is holding a live groupcast on new developments in ERISA litigation. The seminar is scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, at the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, One Constitution Square, New Brunswick, NJ.

ERISA litigation is on the rise partly because of changes in financial markets. The stock of most financial and other U.S. companies has suffered significantly; with such losses has come a wave of securities and 401(k) ERISA litigation and suits involving 401(k) plans and other benefits. The Supreme Court has addressed precedent-setting ERISA issues resulting in large-scale settlements.

The PLI is presenting this timely program to help attorneys and related professionals working in employee benefits, securities and plan administration to understand the issues that have resulted from the rise in ERISA litigation.

Among the speakers are Michael J. Dell, Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP; David A. Furlow, Thompson & Knight LLP; Sherwin S. Kaplan, Nixon Peabody LLP; Steven J. Sacher, Jones Day; Joseph R. Simone, Day Pitney LLP; and Timothy D. Hauser, associate solicitor, Division of Plan Benefits Security, U.S. Depart of Labor.
