Philadelphia Seminar Looks At Computer Issues

On Wednesday, September 29, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute Examines How Your Computer Can Get You In Trouble. The seminar is being held at PBI's CLE Conference Center in the Wanamaker Building in Central Philadelphia from 9:00 a.m. until 1:15 p.m.

There are many ways a firm or solo attorney can mess up by using the most common technologies. Practitioners will learn of the implications and pitfalls of losing computers, posting on social networking sites, data security, and disaster recovery. The seminar will offer suggestions on how to properly destroy equipment and ethical issues, such as who the client is, employer monitoring and filtering, and confidentiality issues when laptops disappear.
