Members of the Legal Marketing Association Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapter met recently at the Philadelphia Bar Association for a presentation on Internet technology, blogs and podcasts. Steven L. Lubetkin, managing partner of Professional Podcasts LLC, provided a national update on the use of podcasts and blogging by law firms and in the legal marketplace.
A technology and communications expert, Mr. Lubetkin detailed the effectiveness and liabilities of these growing communications media. Legal marketers from both small and large sized firms discussed the credibility concerns of blog sites and the importance of timely updates by the host site. Those already using podcasts to distribute their message shared information about popular software programs, costs and efficiencies of the systems. Introduced by Philadelphia LMA President Holly Lentz of Duane Morris, Mr. Lubetkin received positive feed-back from the marketing professionals in attendance.
