Pennsylvania Bar Institute Plans Employment Law Institute West

The Pennsylvania Bar Institute will present the 2007 edition of its Employment Law Institute West seminar.

The program will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 13 and 14 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Pittsburgh. Sessions run from 8:35 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. each day.

Among the discussion topics will be: I've Got a License to Chill and I Believe I Will: On and Off Duty Employee Conduct; Just Cause: What Employment Lawyers and Human Resources Professionals Need to Know About the National Labor Relations Act; Disclosing an Employee's Personal Information: An Employer's Legal Obligations and an Employee's Rights; Workplace Investigations of Sexual Harassment Complaints; ADR in the Western District: From Pilot Program to Mandatory Program, and Significant Decision Reviewing Labor and Employment Arbitration Awards.

Among the speakers are the Hon. Donetta W. Ambrose, chief judge, U.S. Dist Court for Western PA; Deborah L. Brake, professor, University of Pittsburgh School of Law; John Ferreria, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, and Michael A. Pavlick, K&L Gates.
