The Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI) is planning a CLE seminar titled Discovery: Where Most Cases Are Won or Lost in three locations.
Programs will take place on Monday, August 6 at the PBI Conference Center, 5080 Ritter Road, Mechanicsburg, PA; on Thursday, August 9 at the Koppers Building, 436 Seventh Avenue, Pittsburgh, and on Thursday, August 16 at the CLE Conference Center, Wanamaker Building, Juniper Street, Philadelphia. Sessions run from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
Participants will learn how to conduct effective discovery whether they represent the plaintiff or defendant. The faculty panel will address the discovery process from basic and practical organization to the applicable Rules of Civil Procedure to proper preparation and development of effective strategy for the discovery process.
This is a basic to intermediate level program that will address discovery in general civil litigation. The panel will address local rules and customs as well as point out special issues that arise in certain types of cases, including medical malpractice, personal injury and class action suits.
