PBI Program To Review Procedure RulesIn Eastern District Of Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI) is offering a CLE seminar titled The Federal Local Eastern District Rules of Civil Procedure: A Practical Review.

The program will take place on Wednesday, August 15 from noon to 2 p.m. at the CLE Conference Center, Wanamaker Building, Juniper St, Philadelphia.

An experienced panel of federal magistrate judges and an experienced trial lawyer will discuss: what is necessary to file a lawsuit; what to include and what to omit from motions; how to avoid problems in discovery; how to deal with out-of-town counsel; what to do and what to avoid as local counsel; when to agree to mediation, and when to request reconsideration.

The course planner is Peter F. Vaira, Vaira & Riley, P.C. Speakers will be the Hon. Thomas J. Rueter and the Hon. David R. Strawbridge, both U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and Abbe F. Fletman, Flaster Greeenberg.
