PA Bar And PLI Review The FCPA: 2010

On Wednesday, May 19, the Practising Law Institute and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute will examine recent developments in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

The seminar is being groupcast at two locations in Pennsylvania - to PBI's CLE Center in the Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia and to PBI's Professional Development Center at 339 Sixth Avenue in Pittsburgh. It will run from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

The increased trend in FCPA enforcement actions shows no sign of letting up in 2010. Attendees will hear of how the SEC has plans to create a specialized FCPA unit to focus on new and proactive approaches to identify FCPA violations and will take a more global approach to these violations. Attendees will learn how to ensure that their clients remain in compliance with the FCPA regulations as they evolve, and that companies everywhere must make FCPA compliance and creation of anticorruption programs a top priority.

This program will provide practitioners with a comprehensive update on the past year's enforcement trends and their implications for both U.S. and foreign companies.

The panelists and speakers include Lucinda A. Low, Steptoe & Johnson LLP; Richard W. Grime, O'Melveny & Myers LLP; and James J. Benjamin, Jr., Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
