OSBA Schedules Negotiations Seminar

The Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) will present a CLE seminar titled The Complete Legal Negotiator in two locations.

The program will take place on Tuesday, November 6 at the Forum Conference Center, East Ninth and St. Clair streets, Cleveland, and on Wednesday, November 7 at the OSBA headquarters, 1700 Lake Shore Drive, Columbus, OH. Sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Participants will see video presentations of spontaneous, unscripted negotiations, broken down so that they watch the strategies unfold and the tactics come together (or fall apart); will learn that things visible to outside observers may be difficult to see when they are in the heat and pressure of negotiation, and will learn to recognize the signs of weakness in insufferably obnoxious opponents, how to thwart their tactics, help them overcome their weakness, and in so doing, strengthen their own position.

The featured speaker is Gerald R. Williams, Marion G. Romney Professor of Law, Brigham Young University J. Ruben Clark School of Law.
