On Wednesday, July 7, the Ohio State Bar Association will present a CLE session looking into the latest developments in immigration law.
The seminar will be held at the bar association located at 1700 Lake Shore Drive in Columbus, Ohio. It will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 4:30 p.m.
The course will provide participants who are non-specialists a basic grasp of immigration law. In addition to reviewing family-based petitions and visas for temporary workers, the program will explore the immigration consequences of criminal convictions and plea bargains, permanent residency and naturalization, and important issues for employers of foreign nationals.
Some in-depth topics include non-immigrant visas for temporary workers, the application process for non-immigrant visas; I-9 requirements; consequences for hiring illegal aliens and the removal process; and PERM.
