NYCLA Plans Silent, Live Benefit Auctions

The New York County Lawyers' Association's (NYCLA) Minorities and the Law Committee is presenting a Live Auction and its Fourth Annual Silent Auction to benefit the Summer Minority Judicial Internship Program on Wednesday, March 7 at the NYCLA Home of Law, 14 Vesey Street, New York City.

Proceeds from the auctions support the internship program, founded in 1989, which provides law students of color with paid eight-week internships with state and federal judges.

For the first time, NYCLA will present a live auction in addition to the silent auction. The live auction will feature a wide variety of art (contemporary, African-American, Impressionist and more) and sports memorabilia. Items available at the silent auction include gift certificates for restaurants, luxury goods, spirits, tickets to sporting events and much more.

Admission price to the event is $20, which includes champagne and hors d'oeuvres. The Silent Auction preview begins at 5:30 p.m. and the Live Auction will take place from 6:30-8 p.m.
