NYCLA Plans Replay Of Ethics Seminar

The New York County Lawyers' Association (NYCLA) this month has scheduled a video replay of a CLE seminar titled Breakfast With NYCLA - Professional Responsibility in the Age of the Internet: Ethical Implications of Using Digital Technology.

The program will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 13 and 14 from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. each day at the NYCLA Home of Law, 14 Vesey Street, New York City.

This program provides an overview of potential ethical hot spots for lawyers who transact business on the information superhighway, including communicating via Internet and e-mail; marketing legal services on the Internet; the regulation of online cross-border law practice, including unauthorized practice of law, fee forfeiture and other potential hazards, and answering legal questions and discussing legal subjects online.

The speakers are Anthony E. Davis, Hinshaw & Culbertson; Richard M. Maltz, Law Office of Richard M. Maltz, and Ellen C. Yarroshefsky, clinical professor of law, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
