NYCLA Hosts The Charles Evans Hughes Memorial Lecture

On Tuesday, April 26, the New York County Lawyers Association offers the 48th Charles Evans Hughes Memorial Lecture. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m., and is located at the NYCLA Home of Law, 14 Vesey Street in New York City.

The lecture series pays tribute to Hon. Charles Evan Hughes (1862-1948), one of the founders of Hughes Hubbard &Reed, LLP, who served as NYCLA's eighth president (1919-1921), Governor of New York (1907-1910) Justice of the Supreme Court (1910-1941), U.S. Secretary of State (1921-1925) and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (1930-1941).

The speaker for this year is Hon. Denny Chin, circuit judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

The lecture will be followed by a cocktail reception. Note that this event has been rescheduled from February 3.
