NYC Seminar - OFAC Boot Camp

On Wednesday and Thursday, December 8 and 9, American Conference Institute is sponsoring a two-day "boot camp" examining trends and developments in the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

The seminar will be held at the Flatotel at 135 West 52nd Street in New York City. The program on Wednesday runs from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. andon Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until noon.

Complying with the Office of Foreign Asset Control's regulations has never been more complex or pressing. New sanctions, more aggressive enforcement, greater penalties, and higher compliance standards make OFAC compliance a top priority for any company with foreign clients or suppliers.

This seminar will examine the repercussions of new Iranian sanctions and what recent cases and penalty levels reveal about OFAC's priorities for future regulations and enforcement.

The keynote address will be given by Alexandre Manfull, chief, Compliance Implementation, Office of Foreign Assets Control, U.S. Department of the Treasury. Other speakers include Sheryl Cottrell, head of Global Sanctions, UBS; Clay Stevenson, Global Economic Sanctions Executive, Bank of America; and Allan T. Tiro, managing counsel, GE Healthcare.
