NYC Bar To Sponsor Three-Day Institute On Issues Caused By Mergers & Acquisitions

The Fifth Annual Institute on Corporate Securities & Related Aspects of Mergers & Acquisitions will be sponsored by the NY City Bar Association and will be held at the House of the Association, 42 West 44th Street, New York City. The program will run on Wednesday, September 24, from5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 25 from8:50 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. and Friday, September 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Program Co-Chairs are H. Rodgin Cohen, Sullivan & Cromwell, LLP and Professor of Law Samuel C. Thompson, Jr., director, the Center for the Study of Mergers and Acquisitions, Penn State Dickinson School of Law.

This institute will provide an in-depth analysis of significant corporate, securities, and related issues arising in mergers and acquisitions. Each session is structured to provide an analysis of important and current M&A issues by experienced M&A lawyers, judges, government officials and investment bankers. On Wednesday evening, there will be an introduction to Basic M&A Legal Principles for attendees who are not experts in this field.
