NYC Bar Offers Negotiation Skills Course For Women

The New York City Bar will present Women in Negotiation: Practical Tips to Strengthen Your Negotiation Skills (For You and Your Clients) on Tuesday, April 27, at the Association of the Bar, 42 West 44 Street in New York City.

The seminar will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m.

Participants of either sex will learn effective negotiation skills during this interactive discussion. Learn the differences between the way men and women communicate, their negotiating styles, attitudes toward conflict and differing ways of processing information. Panelists will use humor and offer practical tips necessary to become a highly effective negotiator or mediator. Attendees will explore gender-specific behaviors that undermine power in negotiation and learn how to equalize perceived power imbalances. Each attendee will learn how to apply these skills to everyday situations for themselves and their clients.
