NYC Bar Hosts Seventh Annual Corporate Securities And M&A Institute

On Thursday and Friday, October 13 and 14, The New York City Bar and Penn State Dickinson School of Law will host the Seventh Annual Institute on Corporate, Securities, and Related Aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions. The two-day program is being held at the New York City Bar Association, 42 West 44th Street in New York City. Day one begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m. and day two begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m.

The institute will provide attendees with an in-depth analysis of significant corporate, securities, and related issues arising in mergers and acquisitions. Each session is structured to provide analysis of important and current M&A issues by some of the leading M&A lawyers, judges, government officials and investment bankers.

Thursday's topics include a session titled M&A Investment Bankers and Reporters Discuss Recent Developments. This segment will be moderated by Daniel S. Sternberg of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and the panelists include Dennis K. Berman, The Wall Street Journal; Steven M. Davidoff, New York Times " Deal Professor"; Jane R. Gladstone, Evercore Partners; and Robert A. Kindler, Morgan Stanley.

Among the other speakers are Corinne Ball, Jones Day; Byron F. Egan, Jackson Walker LLP; Samuel C. Thompson Jr., Penn State Dickinson School of Law; and Donna McCaffrey, special trial counsel, Office of General Counsel, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
