NYC Bar Explores State Employment Law

The New York City Bar Association presents a live program looking into employment law essentials in New York. It will be held on Tuesday, August 3, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the offices of the NYC Bar located at 42 West 44th Street in New York City.

This program is for all practitioners who need a practical survey of the latest developments in New York employment law.Four core areas will be discussed: the first segment covering parental and medical leaves will be presented by Alan M. Koral of Vedder Price P.C. and Ossai Miazad of Outten & Golden LLP, who will discuss types of leaves and a company's obligations to employees.

The second section will discuss whistleblowing and retaliation claims and will be led by Maureen M. Stampp of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP and Pearl Zuchlewski of Kraus & Zuchlewski LLP.

The final segments cover the topics of overtime and minimum wage requirements in New York and will be presented by Christopher A. Parlo of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP and Justin M. Swartz of Outten & Golden LLP.
