NYC Bar Addresses Securities Arbitration And Mediation

The New York City Bar has scheduled a video replay of a popular program titled Securities Arbitration and Mediation Hot Topics 2011: "The" Program for Attorneys, In-House Counsel, Experts, Arbitrators and Mediators.

The event is being held on Tuesday, August 23, at the New York City Bar Center, 42 West 44th Street in New York City. It runs from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Recent events in the financial marketplace have brought substantial changes to securities arbitration and mediation. A premier faculty of experienced practitioners, including the northeast regional director of FINRA Dispute Resolution, will examine rule changes, decisions and events. This program will offer practical suggestions and tested advice on prosecuting and defending securities arbitrations and mediations.

The program chair is Roger M. Deitz, Dispute Resolution. Among the faculty are Katherine M. Bayer, regional director, northeast region, FINRA Dispute Resolution; Thomas Briody, executive director, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney; Sandra Grannum, Davidson & Grannum, LLP; and John G.
