NY State Bar Association To Update 2009 Insurance Coverage Law

The New York State Bar Association plans a seminar titled 2009 Insurance Coverage Update on Friday, May 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Affinia Manhattan, 371 Seventh Avenue, NYC. The planning chair is Verne Alan Pedro, Gibbons P.C. and the program chair is Michael A. Miranda, Miranda Sambursky Slone Sklarin Verveniotis LLP.

The seminar will start with an overview of the issue and cover operative policy language.It will continue with examinations ofcontractual indemnification; the antisubrogation rule; the law of additional insureds including recent developments, trends and decisions; priority of coverage and the additional insured; tenders and certificates of insurance; and ethical considerations in handling additional insured claims.

The same program has been scheduled in four other locations, on the same date at the same time in New York State - Albany, Buffalo, Long Island and Syracuse.
