On Friday, May 8, 2009 from 9 to 5 p.m., the New York City Bar Association will present Speaking To Win: The Art Of Effective Speaking For Lawyers at the Association's headquarters at 42 West 44th Street, New York City.
The instructor will be well-respected Steven Stark, former lecturer on law at Harvard Law School and National Public Radio commentator.
Participants will learn: why lawyers are often poor speakers; how voice, appearance and delivery can be improved; how to write a speech or testimony; how to use humor in a beneficial way; and how to deal with a hostile or indifferent audience.
