NY ACCA Seminar Will Review Employment Arbitration Agreements

The Greater New York Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America and the firm of Littler Mendelson, P.C. are preparing a CLE breakfast briefing for in-house counsel titled Employment Arbitration Agreements and Their Alternatives - The Ever-Changing Legal Landscape.

The program will take place on Tuesday, October 16 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at Le Parker Meridien Hotel, 118 West 57th Street, New York City.

In response to the expense and uncertainty of jury trials, many employers have resorted to contractual arbitration as a cost-effective and time-efficient alternative. But while arbitration remains an accepted alternative, it has not stopped the number of employee lawsuits filed every year.

Speakers will explore topics including: new enforceability issues, ADR options, class action waivers, jury trial waivers, and the new Federal Arbitration Fairness Act.

Speakers will be Craig Benson and David Wirth, both Littler Mendelson shareholders.

There is no registration fee. For details on CLE credits, see the Bulletin Board on The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel website at www.metrocorpcounselcom.
