North Carolina Bar Association Schedules Ethics Seminar

The North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) is offering a CLE seminar titled Red Flags: A Practicing Lawyer's Guide to Legal Ethics.

The program will take place on Thursday, February 7 from 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the NC Bar Center, 8000 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

Ethical traps can snare not only the unwary but also those who think they understand State Bar rules. As practice becomes more complicated, more fast-paced and more competitive, lawyers must remain even more alert and well-informed about their ethical obligations. This seminar presents a series of hypotheticals - situations lawyers confront every day - and asks the audience to actively participate in a discussion of the best approach to identifying and solving these difficult dilemmas.

The speakers are Lawrence J. Fox, Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, and Alice Neece Mine, assistant executive director of the North Carolina State Bar Association.

For details on registration fees and available CLE credits, see the Bulletin Board on The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel website at www.metrocorpcounsel.com.
