The law firm of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., is pleased to welcome William L. Brewer as a Member of the firm. He joins the firm’s Real Estate & Finance group.
Brewer focuses his practice in the areas of commercial financing, leasing, acquisitions and sales, loan restructuring and workouts, loan sales and purchases, and distressed debt transactions. He represents lenders and borrowers in connection with commercial and mezzanine loans secured by real property and other assets, commercial construction financing, and workouts and foreclosures. Brewer also advises lenders on restructuring defaulted loans and negotiating forbearance agreements, deed in lieu agreements, and modifications and amendments to loan documentation. In addition, he prepares and negotiates leases on behalf of landlords and tenants of retail, restaurant, industrial and office properties and negotiates and closes sales contracts for sellers and purchasers of real property.
Brewer also advises clients on the sale and purchase of distressed assets and lenders in connection with the financing of such transactions and has considerable experience representing lenders and borrowers in transactions involving commercial mortgage-backed securities.
