Bridgewater-based law firm Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., led a charitable initiative this year to support active duty military and veterans.
The firm hosted fundraisers and collection drives throughout the year to benefit multiple charities including Pets for Patriots, Your Grateful Nation, United War Veterans Council, Operation Gratitude, and Wounded Warrior Project, all of which support active duty military, veterans, and their families.
These efforts included a Yankees ticket raffle, coin wars, mystery grab bag sale, denim days, book collection, and a Halloween candy collection, that garnered over 1,000 pounds of candy. The firm also donated brand new laptops.
“With eight veterans employed at the firm, employees at Norris McLaughlin & Marcus find these charities especially meaningful,” said Edward C. Miller, Jr., Chief Marketing Officer. “The firm is thankful for the sacrifices of all active duty military and veterans, and we are thrilled to be able to give back to them.”
The firm has historically been committed to the communities where clients live and do business. The firm’s attorneys hold prominent leadership positions in various organizations throughout the areas the firm serves, and many of them have been honored for the work they do in the community. Last year, firm attorneys donated $100 each to the charity of their choice, which was then highlighted in a Thanksgiving e-book sent to clients and friends. For this initiative, the firm was honored as one of the “Companies that Care” by the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey.
