New York CityBar To Examine Current Hot Topics In Employee Benefits

Marjorie M. Glover of Chadbourne & Park LLP will chair a program titled Hot Topics in Employee Benefits 2008 sponsored by the New York City Bar Association on Wednesday, November 19 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the House of the Association, 42 West 44th Street, NYC.

New developments in employee benefits law will be discussed including new Pension Protection Act guidance, recent Supreme Court decisions such as LaRue v. DeWolff and MetLife v. Glenn and the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act.Participants will learn how these new developments apply to defined benefits plans, defined contribution plans and health and welfare plans.They will learn how to develop best practices on fiduciary issues affecting employee benefit plans, including best practices on investment advice, default investments, claims administration and vendor selection.
