New York City Bar Association Plans Franchising/Distribution Seminar

The New York City Bar Association will present a CLE seminar titled Franchise, Distribution & Licensing Law From A to Z (Aamco to Zaxby's).

The program will take place on Thursday, December 13 from 9 a.m. to noon at the House of the Association, 42 West 44th Street, New York City.

This program will provide a comprehensive examination of franchise, distribution and licensing law that will benefit both the new and seasoned practitioner. The program will offer an explanation of the different types of licensing arrangements, an examination of the elements of a franchise and a discussion regarding how to properly structure a franchise, distribution and licensing network. The presenters will also review federal and state laws governing franchise, distribution and licensing programs, including an in-depth discussion of the recently amended FTC Franchise Rule, pre-sale registration and disclosure obligations and "relationship laws," which govern the franchisor-franchisee relationship.
