Nevada ACC Kickoff Event - Managing Litigation As A Business - In Vegas

The Nevada Chapter of the ACC has planned a Managing Litigation as a Business kickoff event to be held Thursday, June 9.

It will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Howard Hughes Center, suite 300, 3770 Howard Hughes Parkway in Las Vegas.

This ACC initiative is designed to help law departments, whether a solo general counsel or a team of corporate lawyers, improve how they manage their companies' risk, disputes and litigation to achieve better results at lower costs. Its purpose is to provide participants the means and all the resources needed to design and execute a customized program and a continuing improvement process to ensure they keep achieving better results at lower costs. The Managing Litigation venture is structured as a collaborative effort among participating law departments. Senior in-house counsel from diverse companies are attending other kickoff events nationwide.

ACC member guests - seasoned corporate counsel who will guide discussions - include the following: Murray Aust, former global director, External Legal Resources, Royal Bank of Canada; Dick Mosher, chief legal officer, Loctronix Corp.; Ron Peppe, vice president legal and human resources, Canam Steel Corp.; Al Peters, general litigation and contracts counsel, PA Turnpike Commission; and Todd Silberman, general counsel, Mesilla Valley Transportation.

There is no cost to participate in this endeavor, which aligns with the achievement of the ACC Value Challenge Goals. The Las Vegas program is limited to 21 in-house counsel, so don't wait to reserve a place.
