The Women's Initiative of Holland & Knight LLP's New York City office last month hosted its second annual Holiday Shopping for a Cause, a women's networking event to benefit Women in Need, a New York-based charity that supports homeless women and children.
The event was held November 15 at the lower Manhattan Sephora store. The event brought together some 150 business women for networking, shopping and makeup consultations. Twenty percent of the sales generated from the event went to Women in Need.
"Last year's event was such a success that we decided to turn it into an annual event," said Barbara Parlin, a partner at Holland & Knight and chair of the event. "This is a fun way for our attorneys to interact with their clients and referral sources, and at the same time serves a great cause."
