NC Bar To Replay Environmental Seminar

The North Carolina Bar Association has scheduled a series of video replays of a CLE seminar titled Think Globally, Act Locally: Environmental Practice Before Local Governments.

Programs are scheduled on Thursday, March 29 at the Comfort Inn in Wilmington, NC; on Friday, March 30 at the International Trade Center in Charlotte, NC; on Friday, April 13 at the NC Bar Center in Cary, NC; on Friday, April 13 at the Guilford Technical Community College in Greensboro, NC, and on Wednesday, April 18 at the Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College in Asheville, NC. Each session runs from noon to 5:15 p.m.

The program provides practical legal training about local environmental issues such as avoiding missteps in practice before local boards, understanding the latest changes in stormwater and Phase II regulations, and handling appeals from local government decisions. The program covers recent ethical opinions, including increased scrutiny of the unauthorized practice of law.

Course planners are Stephen J. Bowen, Blanchard Jenkins Miller Lewis & Styers PA; Ted A. Feitshans, North Carolina State University, and Paul A. Meyer, North Carolina Association of County Commissioners.
