Navigating Employment Severance Laws

MCLE will present a course titled Advising Employers on Layoffs, Firing and Severance Agreements on Monday, September 22 at the MCLE Milstein Hall, Boston from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Veteran employment law practitioners from both the private and public sectors will share their insights and practical experience about how to navigate employment disputes. Among the speakers will be Patricia A. Washienko, Yarashus Wagner Cook Freiberger & Washienko, Deborah Hesford CosSantos, Foulston & Storrs, PC and Martin S. Ebel, Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.

The agenda will include discussions of practical and legal considerations for in-house and management-side attorneys, how plaintiff's attorneys evaluate and counsel separated employees and what the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination looks for in evaluating unlawful separation claims.
