NAM adds four neutrals to its roster

NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation) announces that it has added four well respected neutrals to its highly regarded matrimonial roster – Florence M. Fass, Esq, Elena L. Greenberg, Esq., Robert Harlan Moses, Esq. and Gary H. Tabat, Esq.

Resolving matrimonial matters requires neutrals who have the right temperament and are capable of navigating and resolving matters, while fully understanding the sensitive nature and sometimes heart wrenching and overwhelming issues that accompany any divorce proceeding.

Ms. Fass distinguished legal career includes her exclusive practice of matrimonial and family law as a seasoned litigator, mediator and collaborative law practitioner. She is uniquely familiar with the complex financial aspects of the New York State equitable distribution law, while continuing to maintain an awareness and appreciation of the enormous stress which the divorce process places on the parties involved. Ms. Fass prides herself on being at the forefront of current developments in matrimonial and family law matters, believing it to be crucial to her effectiveness as a neutral.

With more than 35 years of experience practicing matrimonial law, Ms. Greenberg is a highly regarded litigator and mediator. She has handled hundreds of matrimonial and family law cases and has achieved resolutions that are customized to best meet the short and long-term needs of the whole family. Her approach includes helping parties identify, negotiate and collaborate on an agreement that is acceptable to everyone while she focuses on resolving the conflict with care, respect and compassion.

Mr. Moses is recognized as one of the top matrimonial attorneys in New York. He has successfully handled hundreds of divorce/equitable distribution cases, trials, and numerous family law-related hearings that include divorce, child custody, spousal and child support, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, divorce agreements, paternity and domestic violence matters. No matter the background or financial standing, Mr. Moses brings his careful attention and years of experience to all his cases, finding creative solutions to even the most difficult situations.

Mr. Tabat's remarkable career as one of the leading matrimonial and family law attorneys in the New York Metro area, spans more than four decades. Having successfully handled hundreds of significant, complex equitable distribution cases, he is acutely aware of, and sensitive to, the emotional factors that often impair a party from making decisions that are legally and financially in their best interests. This enables him to referee even the most tumultuous relationships. As an attorney and mediator, he understands the sensitive nature that accompanies matrimonial matters and is committed to getting parties the absolute best result, without disrupting their lives.

Roy Israel, President and CEO of NAM stated, “The strength of our matrimonial roster is further enhanced by the addition of these four individuals. All possess the deep experience, interpersonal and communication skills to settle even the most intricate and challenging cases through ADR. Together, their many years of practice have given them an appreciation of the importance having parties control as much of their financial and emotional destiny as possible, rather than leaving it to the determination of the court. It is my pleasure to welcome Ms. Fass, Ms. Greenberg, Mr. Moses and Mr. Tabat to NAM.”

Alternative dispute resolution is an efficient and effective forum to resolve a broad range of matrimonial issues, from general disagreements that can be settled via effective mediation, to issues that arise post-judgment of divorce (particularly for matters related to economic disputes), providing confidentiality in a private setting both in person and virtually.
