Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Project Development and Finance Practice with the addition of Nadav Klugman as a partner in Chicago.
"Strategic growth of our market-leading capabilities across the US is a key priority for the Firm, and we expect to continue seeing strong demand in the renewables sector as energy transition remains a priority for many of our clients," said White & Case Chair, Heather McDevitt. "Nadav is a highly respected partner, with strong experience in renewables investments. His addition further enhances our preeminent energy practice, while further solidifying our ability to help our clients navigate this fast-changing landscape."
Elena Millerman, Head of White & Case's Global Project Development and Finance Practice, added: "Nadav's vast experience advising clients on a broad range of complex project financings, and private acquisitions and divestitures of infrastructure in the renewable and alternative energy sector makes him an important asset, as we continue to strengthen our US energy transition and renewables capabilities to meet the growing market demand."
Klugman's practice is focused on global project finance and infrastructure investment. He regularly represents financial institutions in a wide range of complex project financings and refinancings, and private acquisitions and divestitures of renewable energy investments.
"The rapid growth of the renewable energy sector, spurred on by various new technologies, including carbon capture, energy storage, electric vehicle charging networks, biofuels and green hydrogen, is driving deal activity," said Sean Goldstein, Head of the Firm's Americas Energy and Infrastructure Project and Asset Finance Regional Section. "In addition to these market forces, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law of 2021 and the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 have driven an irreversible and fundamental shift toward energy transition in the US. We are very pleased to welcome Nadav, whose significant experience in the renewable energy sector solidifies our position as a go-to firm for investors and other participants in the energy transition market."
Last year, the Firm also welcomed M&A partner Hayden Baker in New York and Tax partner Jeffrey Davis in Washington, DC, both of whom have an emphasis on energy transition and renewable energy transactions.
