Morae Global Corporation announces the appointments of Melbourne-based Lindy Muto as managing director and Sydney-based Alison Laird as senior director – in a move that demonstrates the company’s continued growth and commitment to the Asia-Pacific region. The additions align with Morae’s ongoing expansion of its advisory team – and complement the recent acquisition of Sydney-based Trinogy.
“Demand is high in the Asia-Pacific market for world-class strategic advisory services as an increasing number of legal departments, law firms and other professional services firms seek to move past the hype and truly transform how they operate,” said Justin North, Managing Director at Morae. “The addition of Lindy and Alison to the team will provide our Australian, New Zealand, Indian, and other Asia-Pacific clients with the expertise and experience they require to more effectively assess, plan and implement the strategies and solutions that are right for them.”
The newest team members join Morae’s growing cast of innovative strategic advisors working collegiately around the world to collectively reimagine the way legal work is done.
Muto, who was previously with KPMG Law, brings 20 years of experience as a lawyer in private practice and as a general counsel, including 10 years as a legal consultant focused on finding innovative solutions for the transformation of corporate legal departments. She brings a global perspective to Morae’s clients having worked in Australia, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates and Asia, and will spearhead a number of Morae’s international initiatives including the continued growth of the legal spend transformation offerings.
Laird also brings more than 15 years of international legal operations and innovation experience to the region, having worked in Australia, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and France. She has served in private practice innovation and operational management roles, while also holding leadership roles within respected industry peer organizations including an Advisory Board role with the Centre for Legal Innovation (Australia, New Zealand and Asia-Pacific); Chair of the Chief Innovation Officers Forum; and as a Teaching Fellow at Australia’s College of Law.
“Morae is committed to providing our Asia Pacific clients with exceptional, advisory-led solutions and we are so excited to add such high calibre talent as Lindy and Alison to our One Morae team,” added James Rojas, President, Legal Business Transformation and Chief Financial Officer at Morae.
