Fox Rothschild is pleased to announce that Mitch A. Reid has joined the firm as a partner in the Litigation Department. He will provide services to clients from both the Denver and Dallas offices.
“Mitch adds important depth to our litigation practice. He is a seasoned litigator with a diverse practice, including high-stakes medical claims litigation,” said Patrick J. Casey, Fox’s Denver office managing partner. “He’s also handled more than 100 complex commercial arbitrations involving managed care disputes with medical providers. We are thrilled to welcome him to the team.”
Reid defends clients in complex commercial and insurance litigation involving health, disability, life and AD&D benefits, including ERISA and insurance bad faith claims.
His clients are insurance and managed care entities, as well as employers and third-party administrators. He leads the defense of litigation in the state and federal courts and arbitration forums in disputes involving Medicare, FEHBA, Affordable Care Act, No Surprises Act, bad faith insurance practices and state prompt pay laws.
Reid is also experienced in oil and gas disputes, toxic tort litigation, contract disputes, fraud, tortious interference, breaches of fiduciary duties, debt collection, Freedom of Information Act disputes, and False Claims Act and qui tam actions.
In his pro bono work, Reid volunteers in federal court through the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado’s Federal Limited Appearance Program. A former captain in the Army who specialized in military intelligence, Reid also regularly provides pro bono services for the Colorado Bar Association’s Veterans Legal Assistance Program.
Reid received his J.D.,cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center and his B.A. from Indiana University.
Prior to joining Fox, Reid was a partner at Spencer Fane LLP.
