McNees' Eric Athey is elected as President of the Lancaster Bar Association

McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC announces that attorney Eric Athey was elected President of the Lancaster Bar Association (LBA).

With more than 700 members, the LBA is a professional association that serves the legal community by training its members to be outstanding advocates for clients and stewards of the local justice system. Its mission is to promote the competence, ethics and collegiality of the legal profession; to provide service to the public; and to promote the fair administrative of justice for all in Lancaster County.

Eric Athey is Co-Chair of the McNees Labor and Employment Practice Group where he provides counseling and representation to employers on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including compliance assistance with laws such as the Affordable Care Act, FMLA, ADA, OSHA and wage and hour laws. He routinely helps unionized and non-union clients navigate difficult situations involving allegations of discrimination and harassment, as well as labor negotiations and arbitrations, employment contracts, and employment policy development. He represents private and public sector employers before state and federal courts, arbitrators and administrative agencies.
