McNees attorney, Karl Schneider, is reappointed to the Board of Building Appeals by Ohio Governor, Mike DeWine. Karl’s four-year term began on October 26, 2020.
The Ohio Board of Building Appeals consists of five members and grants variances from the Ohio Commercial Building Code, as well as the Ohio Fire and Elevator Codes.
Karl is Chair of the McNees White Collar Defense Law & Internal Investigations Practice Group. He assists clients in investigations and prosecutions involving public corruption, bribery, money laundering, tax fraud, health care fraud, securities fraud, mortgage fraud, insurance fraud, Hobbs Act violations, mail fraud and wire fraud. He defends professional liability claims against various trades including, appraisers, real estate agents, insurance agents, mortgage brokers and auctioneers and litigates title insurance claims on behalf of title insurance underwriters. He has also litigated directors’ and officers’ liability claims and represented law enforcement officers in disciplinary and ethics’ inquiries.
