McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC announces the addition of Bryce McKenney. Bryce will practice out of the firm’s Columbus, Ohio office.
Bryce has a broad network of contacts in the energy industry at both the state and federal levels. His practice focuses on any proceeding or market development that could affect the price and availability of utility service.
Bryce began his legal career as a Staff Attorney in the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio’s Energy and Environment Department. After a short time as a Staff Attorney, he became an Administrative Law Judge for the PUCO and the Ohio Power Siting Board. As an Administrative Law Judge, he presided over numerous cases and rulemaking proceedings regarding utility service in the state of Ohio.
After working for the PUCO, Bryce joined the Tennessee Valley Authority as an in-house attorney. He provided legal support to numerous TVA business units but primarily focused on TVA’s regulatory oversight of the local power companies served by TVA. Bryce then joined the Office of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel, where he represented residential utility consumers in cases before the PUCO and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. He has represented residential consumers in electric, natural gas, and telecommunications cases involving base distribution rates, riders, administrative rules, and other matters.
Bryce earned his J.D. from Liberty University School of Law and a B.B.A. in Finance from Kent State University.
