MCLE Seminar Will DiscussBasics Of UCC Article 9

Massachusetts CLE is offering a CLE seminar titled What the General Business lawyer Needs to Know About UCC Article 9.

The program will take place on Tuesday, August 7 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the MCLE Conference Center, 10 Winter Place, Boston.

Participants can expect to learn: how equipment gets financed under the rules of Article 9; what the keys are to complying with the Article 9 rules for secured working capital financing; how Article 9 rules affect a real estate financing; how to make pledges of notes, stock and partnership and limited liability company interests work under Article 9; what you should know about the enforcement rules of Article 9; how, as a lender, if you don't play by the Article 9 rules, bankruptcy can ruin your whole day, and what you should pay attention to in giving or receiving a secured transaction legal opinion.
