McGuireWoods has selected New York partner Mirlande Telfort as its representative member of the 2019 Fellows Program of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity. The program fosters the development of talented lawyers from diverse backgrounds and prepares them for leadership roles.
Telfort represents banks, private equity funds and other investors in debt financing transactions. She counsels clients who lend to, or invest in, companies in a broad range of industries, with a focus on healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, technology and retail.
She is a member of the National Association of Women Lawyers as well as the Association of Black Women Attorneys.
Founded in 2009, the LCLD is a national organization of corporate counsel and law firm managing partners dedicated to creating a diverse legal profession. The LCLD Fellows Program launched in 2011 to increase diversity at the leadership levels of U.S. law firms and corporate legal departments.
