McGuireWoods’ Kathryn Caimi to join Bank of America

Kathryn Caimi, an associate in McGuireWoods’ Complex Commercial Litigation Department in Tysons, will join Bank of America as assistant general counsel and SVP on March 8, 2021. In her new role, she will focus on third-party litigation issues impacting the Global Business and Markets Division, serving mid-to-large corporations and institutional clients.

During her tenure at McGuireWoods, Caimi represented clients in litigation matters, with a focus on disputes related to the Uniform Commercial Code, the Electronic Funds Transfer Act, the Expedited Funds Availability Act, the Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering issues, the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. She also handles pro bono matters, including volunteering at legal clinics and providing legal guidance to members of the local community.

“I am incredibly grateful for the past 10 years at McGuireWoods. In addition to providing me with the opportunity to develop valuable skills that will help me succeed in my new role, I worked with great colleagues,” Caimi said. “I am looking forward to the next chapter in my career as well as to maintaining the relationships I have developed at the firm.”

“Kate has been such a valuable asset to our team for the past several years,” said Robert Muckenfuss, chair of the firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation Department. “She is an excellent lawyer and terrific teammate and we look forward to continuing to work with Kate in her new role.”
