Following a competitive application process, associate Brandi Howard was selected to be one of 24 participants in the District of Columbia Bar's John Payton Leadership Academy Class of 2020. This intensive training program lasts from March 20 through May 29.
The academy, led by experienced lawyers and leadership experts, trains D.C. Bar members to be leaders of the bar, in the profession and in their community. In its Feb. 25, 2020, press release announcing the class, the D.C. Bar said the academy focuses on “essential leadership qualities that resonate in the legal profession,” including setting goals, building trust, learning to inspire others, defining success, communicating effectively and building relationships.
As a member of the firm’s Government Investigations & White Collar Litigation Department, recognized by Law360 as a Group of the Year, Howard focuses her practice on investigations, white collar and complex commercial litigation, and appellate matters. She counsels clients through government and internal investigations, and represents clients in state and federal court, and in arbitration. She also has extensive experience in healthcare litigation and is a two-time appellate law clerk.
