The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) announced the election of a new chairman and three new members to its Board of Directors. Don H. Liu of Xerox Corporation has been named chairman, and Richard S. Amador of Sanchez & Amador, Clarissa Cerda of LifeLock, Inc. and Robin H. Sangston of Cox Communications, Inc. will serve as board members.
Mr. Liu is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Xerox Corporation, where he is responsible for all of Xerox's legal and government affairs. Prior to joining Xerox, Mr. Liu held top legal positions with Toll Brothers, Inc. and IKON Office Solutions and a senior legal position at Aetna U.S. Healthcare.
Richard S. Amador is a Founding Partner of Sanchez & Amador in Los Angeles, and is a noted top attorney in employment law. The firm handles banking and real estate transactions, corporate and other business transactions, employment litigation and investigations, and business litigation.
Clarissa Cerda has recently accepted a new position as General Counsel and Secretary of LifeLock, Inc. She was previously Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer of Initiate Systems, Inc.; Vice President, General Counsel and Assistant Secretary for Open Port Technology; Corporate and Securities Partner for Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal; and Assistant Counsel to the President of the United States in the White House.
Robin H. Sangston is Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Cox Communications, Inc. Before Cox, she worked as an associate with Dow, Lohnes in its Washington, D.C., office. Ms. Sangston serves as Chair of the Cox Atlanta headquarters Diversity Council, and actively participates as a mentor in the Cox Mentoring Program and the Women's Mentor Program of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.
The Minority Corporate Counsel Association, founded in 1997, advocates for the expanded hiring, promotion, and retention of minority attorneys in corporate legal departments and the law firms that serve them.
