Mass Bar Seminar To Examine Variety Of Liens

The Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) has scheduled a CLE seminar titled Liens and Other Issues Affecting Settlement.

The program will take place on Tuesday, January 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the MBA Conference Center, 20 West Street, Boston.

This program will feature speakers who will cover a variety of lien issues and provide important legal references as well as practical tips in handling these questions. Specific topics will include: Department of Transitional Assistance liens; Department of Revenue Child Support liens; MassHealth liens; Medicare issues and Medicare Set-Aside accounts; hospital and health insurance liens; workers' compensation liens and Hunter issues; attorney's liens, and accidental disability retirement.

The program chair is Charles R. Casartello Jr., Pellegrini, Seeley, Ryan & Blakesley. Speakers will be Michael K. Crowe, Crowe, Paradis & Albren LLP; Norman J. Fine, Norman J. Fine PC, and Michael Willette, Commonwealth of Massachusetts Casualty Recovery Unit.
