EY announced the appointment of Mark Ford as Global Law Knowledge Leader, supporting the global organization’s ongoing growth as an enterprise legal services provider to businesses around the world
In this new London-based role, Ford will lead a network of knowledge professionals across more than 90 countries where EY provides legal services. He will be responsible for building the global knowledge function for EY Law teams globally, which will help to connect EY countries and facilitate sharing of tools and insights throughout the business, to better serve the organization’s growing roster of clients in the legal space.
Ford joins the EY organization from international law firm Baker McKenzie, where he spent six years as Chief Knowledge Officer, leading a team of 300 knowledge management professionals around the world.
Earlier in his career, he spent more than 20 years at Clifford Chance, first as a lawyer specializing in data privacy and then in various knowledge management roles, including four years as the firm’s director of knowledge management. In addition, he spent a year as a legal and technology strategy consultant and set up the firm’s offshore legal managed services arm in India.
