Vinson & Elkins, one of the longest-standing global law firms, announced that Margaret Peloso, Partner of Environmental and Natural Resources, will expand her responsibilities to become the firm’s Lead Sustainability Partner. Margaret currently serves as the Head of Vinson & Elkins’ Climate Change Practice and as a founding member of their ESG Task Force. As climate risks continue to expand, this new role allows Margaret to address growing concerns such as false advertising litigation, governmental policy and regulation and mandatory disclosures across practice groups.
Margaret will continue her work with risk management and environmental litigation — advising companies, financial institutions and funds on climate risk analysis, environmental law, and environmental shareholder activism issues while furthering the internal and external ESG work of the firm and their clients.
