Marcum MicroCap Conference

Marcum LLP, one of the largest independent public accounting and advisory services firms in the United States, has distinguished itself as a leading advisor to microcap marketplace participants. Having realized that the microcap sector is often underappreciated and undercapitalized, the firm rose to the challenge to provide sufficient liquidity and market awareness. The Marcum MicroCap Conference was designed to address these issues by creating a forum for companies to network with the investment community. In four years, the Marcum MicroCap Conference has become a signature event in the microcap marketplace.

Marcum’s MicroCap Conference attracts top fund managers and qualified high-net-worth investors who focus on small cap equities. The event is dedicated to introducing investors to superior, undiscovered companies with under $500 million in market capitalization. Over 2,000 participants from all segments of the microcap market are expected to participate. Attendees will include senior management, finance and legal executives, venture and lower middle-market private equity investors, institutional investors, directors, investment bankers, buy- and sell-side analysts, and service providers to the microcap marketplace.

The conference was the brainchild of David Bukzin, partner-in-charge of Marcum's SEC Practice Group, which he started for the firm in 1998. Under his leadership, Marcum's SEC practice has grown to become one of the top ten auditors of SEC registrants in the country. The MicroCap Conference was part of the natural evolutionary development of the firm's SEC practice and highlights the entrepreneurial qualities of Marcum at its best.

This year’s event will be taking place on Wednesday, May 27, and Thursday, May 28, at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.

This is the first year the conference has been expanded over two days, in order to accommodate investor interest and provide a showcase for early-stage growth companies. Day one is dedicated exclusively to highly vetted nano-cap and pre-IPO enterprises. Day two will consist of presentations from more mature publicly traded microcap companies.

Presentation tracks for the 2015 conference will include technology, media & Internet, software and business services, life science and healthcare, retail and consumer products, energy and natural resources, and industrials.

The Marcum Microcap Conference will have over 150 publicly traded companies in a variety of industries in attendance. Industry leaders that service this group of Companies form the IB, investment, legal and accounting community will also be in attendance. General counsel and chief legal officers that are interested in networking with this target market should consider attending the conference.
